First Time Blogger
This is my first attempt at blogging. As I was watching the video links from class, I can see a few ways that I could incorporate blogging into my classroom. In theory, I could use this as a method to provide updates to the parents. They could access the blog on their own time and learn about what we are working on in class. Additionally, if I become dedicated enough, I could post notes on the topics for students to access at home. This would allow students who were struggling with homework to take another look at the lesson and students who were absent would no longer fall behind. Finally, students would be able to post comments asking questions that I could answer or even other students could answer.

I had a hard time deciding what direction to take my blog. Will I use it for students, or peers or just to share. There are so many uses, it's slightly overwhelming
ReplyDeleteI love the homework idea. I use my google site currently, but a blog might receive more attention, and students can post questions or discussions as well.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of being able to access notes at home is wonderful. I know that so many times students misplace their notes or leave them at home. This way they have a back up just in case. In addition, the parents can access the notes and walk through the steps with their child. This would be beneficial to the parent just in case he/she needed a refresher of the process.
ReplyDeleteI had a difficult time trying to set up the design of my blog. I could not figure out a way to place a picture on my background so that the people who view my blog could see it. Creating a blog was actually very interesting and insightful. This may be a good tool for me to use in the classroom.
